Building a site is not a difficult task anymore and you can get it done faster than you can imagine. Once you have found the right host and a suitable domain, you can launch it over the web and hope for the best. But there are many other things you have to do and there are many changes you have to make if you want to bring it close to perfection.
One of the first things site owners worry about is how fast they will see the results of their changes and how it will impact them as well. Search engines usually crawl websites at certain periods of time so they can determine the value of the content for the users, but they do not always react well to changes. This is why you have to be careful with this.
If you want to add new pages with relevant content for the users, these will be crawled as soon as you publish them and they will help you improve your rankings if they help your users. If you want to change the content you have already published in the past, you will not see the same reaction from search engines, even if it is a positive change.
First reactions would be a drop in rankings
One of the first reactions would be a drop in rankings until it would be stabilized. But how long will it take before you will see the reaction? How long will it take before the search engines drop a site and how long will the owner have to wait to occupy its rightful position? This is one of the first things you will have to worry about the reactions.
You are not the only one who has been dealing with such issues over time and there are many other users who want to find out the same things as you. If you take the time to seek answers, one of the best sources you can turn to is the forum of Webmaster World. This is where you will find a range of opinions on the topic that try to offer the answers.
If you want to add your own contribution to this, you can share the experiences you had over time and you can try to correlate them to the changes you have made. It is not an easy task, especially when search engines may react to one of the changes you make weeks or even months after they have been made, but it is also a place where you can start.
If you want to find answers that are closer to the truth, you can join in on an experiment so you can determine how long it takes to see any real results based on the changes you make. You can start with changing your site and adding more ads, you can add more pages with fresh content, you can adjust a few things like titles of the articles or you can change themes. If you want to know how search engines react, you should do it one at a time and wait for a response.
