People turn to the web for a wide range of things. This is where they will find the information they are interested in, they find solutions to develop a business or they do what it takes to build a better future for them. Even if there are so many different positive activities you can engage in over the web, you have to keep an eye out for the shady ones.
Webspam is a very common phenomenon and you have to understand how it works before you will appreciate the efforts that have been made to eliminate it. Ad units from various networks can also expose your site to great risks and it is going to have an unwanted effect on it.
A user can be redirected from your site to another or to other pages that can be dangerous for them. This not only reduces the traffic to your site, but it will also ruin your reputation over the web, leading to permanent damage to the site. Are you willing to allow your efforts to go down the drain because a criminal decided to take advantage of it?
There were many different actions that have been taken in 2016 to tackle webspam and all the other activities that damage sites.
